ESI – Euroservizi Impresa, in collaboration with the Grocery Manufacturers Association – Science and Education Foundation (GMA-SEF) of Washington DC, USA is active part of the international network of schools acknowledged by FDA.
Thermally treated and hermetically sealed Low Acid and Acidified Canned Food (LACF), must comply with the United States regulation as stated in the Code of Federal Regulation (CFR) Chapter 21, Parts 108, 113 and 114 regarding all the procedures of authorization and registration of food processing facilities, the definition of LACF and their pertinent production requirements. Meat or poultry Canned Food are regulated by (CFR) Chapter 9, parts 318.300 and 381.300.
Each Commercial Processor: i.e. every entity involved in the commercialization of such products must identify within their company structure a professional trained according to training session recognized by FDA. This is a mandatory requirement for those companies that want to export their canned products in the United States.
With its two locations in Perugia and Rome, ESI is part of the Better Process Control Schools (BPCS) and it will post the calendar of its courses in Italy shortly.
