COURSE OBJECTIVES AND PURPOSE The course aims to provide the necessary knowledge for compliance with US regulations regarding thermally processed, low-acid or acidified canned foods that are hermetically sealed and do not require refrigerated storage or distribution, known as “Low Acid and Acidified Canned Food” (LACF and AC). The course is conducted entirely in Italian to facilitate understanding and in-depth exploration of the topics, with the goal of conveying essential information to comprehend the related US regulations.
RIFERIMENTI LEGISLATIVI Thermally processed, low-acid or acidified canned foods that are hermetically sealed and do not require refrigerated storage or distribution must comply with US regulations referencing the Code of Federal Regulations (CFR), Title 21, Parts 108, 113, and 114. These regulations concern the authorization and registration procedures for facilities, definitions of LACF, and the production requirements if of plant origin.
TARGET AUDIENCE The course is designed for Food Safety experts both internal and external to the company (Consultants, Quality Managers, etc.).

DOCUMENTATION Each participant will be provided with the “Canned Food” document (prepared by GMA Science and Education Foundation) in English, in electronic format, along with practice sheets and a satisfaction questionnaire.
FINAL TEST At the end of the course, theoretical knowledge will be assessed through a structured written test with multiple-choice questions.
CERTIFICATE ISSUED Upon successful completion of the test, each participant will receive a “Certificate of Attendance.”
